Abstract：Objective To evaluate the value of ultrasound elastography(UE) in differential diagnosis of breast cancer and non-lactational mastitis lump(NLM).Methods UE scores and strain ratio results were analyzed in 171 cases of breast cancer and 30 cases of NLM confirmed by surgery or biopsy.Results A total of 147 of the 171 breast cancer lesions were scored ≥4 and 27 of the 30 non-lactational mastitis lesions were scored ≤3.The mean strain ratios of breast cancer lesions and NLM lesions to the same level breast tissue were,respectively,5.16±1.95 and 1.71±0.16,and differences were statistically significant(P=0.000).Conclusion UE scoring and strain ratio measurement are valuable in differential diagnosis of breast cancer and NLM.
