Abstract:Objective To investigate the value of triple-phase enhanced target scan with multislice computed tomography(MSCT) in the diagnosis of early peripheral lung cancer(EPLC).Methods Sixty-two cases of solitary pulmonary nodules with suspected EPLC underwent triple-phase enhanced target scan on a 16-row MSCT scanner(Somatom Sensation 16,Siemens).Results All the 62 cases were confirmed pathologically, including EPLC in 51,tuberculoma in 3,inflammatory nodules in 4,lung cyst containing liquid in 2 and cryptococcosis in 2.The net increase in CT value in pulmonary phase was less than 20 HU in 46 cases of EPLC.The net increase in CT value in arterial phase and delayed phase net was more than 20 HU in all EPLC cases.Among the 62 cases,48 showed homogeneous enhancement and 9 showed heterogeneous enhancement. Conclusion The EPLC shows certain characteristics in triple-phase enhanced target MSCT scan, which can be used to improve the accuracy of EPLC diagnosis.
