Abstract:Objective To evaluate the values of meglucamine diatrizoate combined with hypotonic hysterosalpingography(HSG) in patients with infertility. Methods Eighty infertility patients undergoing selective HSG were randomly divided into two groups, with 40 patients in each group. The research group was administered intramuscularly with 10 mg anisodamine at 15-30 minutes before HSG.The control group was not given anisodamine before HSG,but the secondary HSG was performed after anisodamine injection and the HSG was performed again after pressurized injection of meglucamine diatrizoate in patients with poor visualization.Image quality was analyzed in both groups. Results The success rate of the first HSG in study group was significantly higher than that in control group(87.5% vs 60.0%,P<0.05).Among the 32 patients with poor visualization who received the secondary HSG,fallopian tube recanalization rate was 25.0%(8/32)after injection of anisodamine and 20.8%(5/24) after pressurized injection of meglucamine diatrizoate. Conclusion Meglucamine diatrizoate combined with hypotonic HSG can improve image quality and increase display rates of fallopian tubes. In addition, pressurized injection of meglucamine diatrizoate can reduce false positive rate of HSG.
