Abstract: Mini-fictions are often characterized by their short length. The characters’ language involved in mini-fictions,is usually very brief, whereas rich in conversational implicatures. This paper first analyzes the overtness in translators’ understanding the conversational implicatures of the original characters’ language. Then it maintains that the translators, for the sake of literary translation,on the basis of the literary artistic attributes and the readers’ conceptual frame as well, may seek the best relevance in the target texts, which is similar to the original supposed relevance, thus accordingly adopting either covert or overt conveyance.
