Abstract: From the concept of "meaning" and "interpretation" as its starting point, the issues concerning the limit of prejudice, interpreting getting no return to the original and no bounds from the original could be tackled by the paper.Through a brief account the three principles of Hans-Geord Gadamer’s philosophical hermeneutics-prejudice,fusion of horizons and effected history-provide new perspectives with which to reconsider problems in translation interpretation, and assumptions underlying major theoretical models in translation studies. The aim is to promote the application of the notion of "hermeneutics" in translation, whose dynamic operation will help to explain many of the contradictions in conventional comcepts of translation.
