Abstract：Objective To explore the key points of endoscopic urethral realignment surgery,and to compare the advantages and disadvantages between the endoscopic realignment surgery and open urethral realignment surgery.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed in 15 patients who underwent endoscopic urethral realignment and 23 patients who underwent open surgery for urethral injury.Operative time,intraoperative blood loss,postoperative hospital stay,incidence of urethral stricture and maximum urinary flow rate were compared between the two groups of patients.Results Compared with patients treated with open surgery,the incidence of urethral stricture,maximum urinary flow rate,operation time,blood loss and postoperative hospital stay significantly decreased in patients treated with endoscopic urethral realignment(P<0.05).Conclusion Endoscopic urethral realignment is associated with shorter operative time,less trauma,quicker recovery and more reliable results when compared with open surgery for urethral injury.
