Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of hamstring tendon autograft in arthroscopic reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligament(ACL).Methods Hamstring tendon autograft was performed for arthroscopic reconstruction of ACL in 107 patients. Results Patients were followed up for an average of 10.7 months(range 6 to 18 months).Postoperative Lysholm score was significantly higher than preoperative score [(87.60±3.47) vs(42.70±3.65),P<0.01].Among the 107 patients, clinical outcome was excellent in 86,good in 12,fair in 7 and poor in 2,with an excellent and good rate of 91.6%.Conclusion Hamstring tendon autograft has a good short-term effect on arthroscopic reconstruction of ACL.
