Abstract:Lanthanon doped Mn-Zn ferrites(Mn0.5Zn0.5RExFe2-xO4) were prepared by using oxide coprecipitation method with FeSO4·7H2O,MnSO4·H2O,ZnSO4·7H2O and RE2O3(RE=Y、Nd、Gd、Dy),HCl as the raw materials,sodium hydroxide solution as the precipitating agent and hydrogen peroxide as the oxidizing reagent.The samples of Mn0.5Zn0.5RExFe2-xO4 were characterized by FT-IR,XRD and VSM.The effect of lanthanon doping category and amount were discussed on structure and magnetic properties of Mn-Zn ferrites.The experiment results indicate that lanthanon doping amount should not exceed 0.02 to maintain Mn-Zn ferrites’ regular cubic spinal crystal structure and their good magnetic properties.The average crystalline size of Mn-Zn ferrites’ particles decrease monotonously with the increasing of the content(x) and the saturation magnetization intensity of doped lanthanon Y or Nd of Mn-Zn ferrites is weakening,while the saturation magnetization intensity of a few amount of doped lanthanon Gd or Dy of Mn-Zn ferrites is greater than that of pure Mn-Zn ferrites.At x=0.02,the saturation magnetization intensity of doped lanthanon Gd or Dy of Mn-Zn ferrites reached the maximum of 26.5 emu/g and 29.3 emu/g respectively.
