Abstract:The three-dimensional of spiral intake was established for computational fluid dynamics(CFD) numerical simulation of flow characteristics based on the structure of helical intake port.Using AVL evaluation method,the CFD numerical simulation result was verified by steady flow test.And the verified simulation was studied with the modification of center distance,valve chamber height and the valve cone angle.The results basically indicated that there were optimum values of above three parameters to make the flow characteristic of intake port prime.Meanwhile,this research showed that the direction of detailed design of intake port and further experiment,which can shorten development time and costs of intake port.
