Abstract:eratrol(RES) and HPMC4000 were used as model drug and matrix materials for sustained-release tablets,respectively.The RES sustained-release tablets was prepared,the processes of preparation and the conditions of release were investigated.The release rate was tested used UV technique.And the release mechanism of Res sustained release tablets were investigated by first-order,zero-order and Higuchi models.The results indicated that RES was released from the optimal tablets by the Zero-order model.The affecting factors of the drug release behaviors from the matrix tablets were investigated,the factors included the quantity of HPMC4000,tablet hardness,pH environment of the dissolution media and pad rotating speed.HPMC4000 offered better advantages as matrix materials in the preparation of the sustained-released matrix tablets.
