Abstract: The huge contribution of logistics to economic development makes the relation of regional logistics and regional economic growth become a new topic in regional economic theory.How to define which factors promote regional economic development seems to be particularly important.Using panel root test and panel cointegration,this paper examines the impact of regional logistics on economic growth.There is the evidence of a cointegrating between regional economic growth and regional logistics among the sample provinces,whose data are from 1978 to 2006 across 30 provinces in China.The data indicate that regional logistics boosts economic growth.Both the increase of the logistics infrastructure and simple logistics amount can’t bring about greater influence on economic growth;we should improve the quality of logistics service,realize information-based and modernization,and flourish commodity market to support economic growth.
