Abstract: The gist of Kant’s moral philosophy lies in his doctrine of practical rules. He hopes to formulate abosolute, universal and pure formal moral rules to guide people’s behaviors and make them abosolutely moral. However, there are some innate difficulties in Kant’s doctrine of practical rules which should only be applied and developed in the sphere of public ethics.
