Abstract: The affective factors play a key role in language acquisition.A mental block is formed due to the effect of the learner’s negative mental being and is,to some extent,supposed to hobble the learner’s acquiring progress of the objective language.As a course of quality education,College English should emphasize its humanities and attach importance to students’ and teachers’ cultural consciousness and their mental attitudes in English teaching process.This essay is to study college students’ mental blocks to the English course and their teachers so as to find out effective strategies to raise efficiency in the progress of college English acquisition.
