Abstract：Objective To study the relationship between XbaⅠand PvuⅡpolymorphisms of estrogen receptor α(ERα) gene and bone mineral density(BMD) in postmenopausal women in Nanchang.Methods The BMD was measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry and PvuⅡ and XbaⅠ polymorphisms were detected by PCR-RFLP in 160 postmenopausal women.Results There were no relationship between XX,Xx and xx genotypes of XbaⅠpolymorphism or PP,Pp and pp genotypes of PvuⅡ polymorphism and BMD of lumbar spine(L1-L4),femoral neck,greater trochanter and Ward’s triangle(P>0.05).Conclusion There were no relationship between polymorhisms of XbaⅠand PvuⅡgenotypes and BMD in postmenopausal women in Nanchang.
