Abstract:Objective To analyse clinical value of PET/CT.Methods Data of 605 cases were collected and final diagnosis was confirmed by puncture biopsy, imaging examination and follow-up results.GE MINItrace and TracerLab were used to automatically produce 18F-FDG.GE Discovery STE was PET/CT scanner.Injection dose of 18F-FDG was 0.12 mCi·kg-1 and 2D acquisition was performed 60 minutes after injection(3 minutes per bed, from the head to the groin). Results Of the 605 cases, the presence of tumor was suspected or confirmed in 548(90.6%).Among them, the diagnosis or investigation of malignant tumors was performed in 299,preoperative tumor staging in 75,tumor recurrence estimation in 67,efficacy evaluation of radiotherapy and chemotherapy in 59,and primary tumor search in 48.Of the 52 healthy subjects(8.6%) of the 605 cases, malignant lesions were found in 3 and nervous system disease in 5(4 cases of epilepsy and 1 case of Alzheimer disease). No cases had cardiac disease. Conclusion PET/CT can reveal characteristics of functional imaging and anatomical imaging and has obvious advantages in early detection of tumors, differential diagnosis of benign and malignant tumors, primary tumor search, clinical staging, efficacy evaluation, tumor recurrence estimation and re-staging,biopsy localization, interventional therapy, and formulation of radiation scheme.
