Simultaneous determination of tributyltin and triphenyltin in laver by high performance liquid chromatography with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry
Abstract:A new method was developed to simultaneous determine the tributyltin(TBT) and triphenyltin(TPhT) in laver by high performance liquid chromatography with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(HPLC-ICP-MS).The laver sample was ultrasonically extracted with ethyl acetate-hexane(1/1,V/V) and dispersively purified by activated carbon as solid phase material.The sample extracts were determined by HPLC-ICP-MS.The chromatographic separation condition of TBT and TPhT was optimized.The results illustrated good linearities between the analytical signal and analyte concentration in the range of 4.0-20 μg·L-1 with the correlation coefficients being 0.999 0-0.999 1.The detection limits of TBT and TPhT were 0.37 and 0.49 μg·L-1,respectively.In the three spiked level,the average recoveries of TBT and TPhT located in the range of 96.8%-112.6% with relative standard derivation of 3.2%-9.3%.The proposed method is rapid,accurate and could be used to simultaneously detect TBT and TPhT in laver.
