Abstract:A nonlinear curve fitting method for linear creep consolidation model parameters is presented.One dimensional consolidation analytical expressions have been used to construct a User Defined Curve Fitting Functions in the software Origin7.5.Regression analyses for one dimensional consolidation tests data of Xiaoshan soft soil have been performed,and parameters of two kinds of linear creep models are derived,and then the variations of the parameters have been analyzed.These parameters have been put to compute the settlement and the pore water pressure of the soil samples using consolidation analytical theory,and the theoretical curves are compared with the tests curves.It is proved that the fitting method is very efficient,and that the creep model parameters of Xiaoshan soft soil obey certain variation rules,and the theoretical settlements are identical with the test ones.
